Diarise this for your dog: October’s Mutt Walk
Dogs would agree: our annual Mutt Walk is better than walkies in the park . . . because it’s a super-special strut around the Killarney Country Club!
With prices to suit every pocket, our Mutt Walk on 20 October promises to be a spec-wag-ular event!
Pooches, regardless of their size or breed, must be on a lead at all times. From 6am to 8am, you and your furry best friend can walk your talk to your hearts’ content – but you’ll need to book through Quicket first, here.
Come say “HI” at our High Tea
We’ll be speaking about child-safety online (that’s human child-safe!) – during our High Tea on 26 September. Our guest speaker, Sarah Hoffman of the Digital Law Company, will discuss ‘How to safeguard your children in the world of social media’ – a topic of great interest and concern to most parents.
Starting at 10am, the High Tea will be held at La Vie En Rose at the Killarney Country Club, 5th Street, Melrose Estate. Tickets are R300 per person and all proceeds will be donated to the Sandton SPCA. Bookings can be made here on Quicket.
How about a pet paw-trait?
September signals Spring . . . and a good time to commission a portrait of your pet! During this month, artist Diane Weiman will donate part of the proceeds of any pet painting to the Sandton SPCA. Diane’s paintings are renowned for their realism, and her art can be seen in offices, homes and game lodges.
‘I find that living with a pet makes every day a little more special,’ says Diane, who is an animal lover and active conservationist.
